Match Report Sunday 8th November 2009
Game v Haringey Borough league away
Won 3 - 2
The morning did not start well as when we turned up the opposition only had 5 players and the nets were not even up. It was supposed to be a 10am ko and at 10am they had 6 players and still no nets up.
Eventually their manager turned up and said that he was still awaiting players but we could play it as a friendly if they do not arrive. He said he also had a ref.
Our players were getting exited each time another of thier team turned up, especially Alex who was sweating when he saw the size of their players, especially the one that just got expelled from his school.
Eventually, they had 11 players, the nets were up, and we kicked off at 10.30. I was worried slightly as our I thought some of our players had lost the game before we started as they were complaining that all the other teams had been given the points against this lot as they had not been able to get a team together. This was their first game of their first game of the season.
I told them all that they needed to be confident as we would beat them. This was their first game and they would be unorganised and not match fit.
Within 5 minutes, you could see the confidence growing in our players, as they found out that not all tall, menacing looking guys can play football. The whole team fought for every ball and had control of the game, and we got our reward when Reiss scored his first goal of the season.
HT 1 -0
I was unsure of the ref as he was a bit of an amatuer and did not really listed to his linesmen. Early in the second half their forward received the ball and was at least 10 yards off side but the ref played on and they scored 1 - 1.
We kept fighting for the ball and were still the best sid and halway through the second half Michael Christou scored a good goal, also his first of the season.
It was dejavou for thier secosn goal. Another offside decision went against us and the scores were level. 2 - 2
We put pressure on them straight from the kick off and ended up with a good goal scored by James, who is now top scorer. 3 - 2
There were 7 minutes left when we scored the third goal. What seemed to me about 2 hours later the whistle went and we had our first win.
Great performance by all players, especially Reiss, who put himself about in the midfield getting good tackes in and scoring a good goal, with a man of the match performance.

Match report Sunday 1st November 2009 v Broomfield Percival
Match Report Sunday 1st November v Broomfiels Percival
result lost 2 - 9
Goalscorers James 2
I thought we showed a lot of character and fighting spirit during this game. We went into the game knowing that they have already beaten us twice in the past few weeks, but it did not show in our game.
The weather was awfull and the rain did not stop beating down.
The first half saw us play some good football and although they took the lead we kept on battling and I thought we were the better team. We scored two goals in that first half and went in behind 4 - 2 at halftime.
The second half started badley with Jeremy being so cold he could not play his usual game. He came off the pitch at the score being 6 - 2 with Jay volunteering to go in goal. I think if Jeremy had played to his usual standard they would not have scored at least 4 of those goals and we would have been in with a chance to get a result.
With Jay in goal they managed to score aniother three, although we did have a couple of chances to score. Jay made one brilliant save with his bum
